Garden Tested- Scott’s story
If anyone needs help building soil, it’s me – when we moved into our home two years ago and began to grow vegetables, we quickly found out that we were going to need years to rebuild the soil. Yards of compost later, we’re making headway, but still struggle with some plants (will I ever be able to grow broccoli?…) So I immediately took some of our compost tea home, applied it to my garden, and observed. The sun coming out from behind the clouds had a lot to do with the growth of my veggies this past month, but I have to say I’m impressed with the compost tea.
Below are “before” and “after” photos of my lemon cucumber that I had almost written off, but I was curious to see what compost tea could do. I think the photos say it all – it was an amazing turnaround. I simply applied compost tea, watered it regularly, and asked for some sun.
